ANZGOG Director Professor Clare Scott has been awarded the Medical Oncology Group of Australia (MOGA) and Novartis Oncology Cancer Achievement Award.
Prof Clare Scott is a clinical scientist, a Medical Oncologist at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Royal Women’s Hospital and Head of the Ovarian and Rare Cancer Laboratory at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research (WEHI).
Prof Scott is Chair of ANZGOG’s OASIS Steering Committee, Principal Investigator of the ANZGOG trial, SOLACE2, and the Australian Rare Cancer (ARC) Portal Creator.
Among the world leaders of research into rare cancers, Prof Scott demonstrates her knowledge and expertise through her positions as Chair, Clinical Oncology Society Australia (COSA) Rare Cancer Group; Chair, International Rare Cancer Initiative (IRCI) Board; and Co-Chair, Gynaecologic Cancer Intergroup (GCIG) Rare Tumour Committee.
In recognition of her ongoing contribution as a medical oncology clinician and her 15 years of experience in clinical cancer genetics, Prof Scott has been awarded the MOGA and Novartis Oncology Cancer Achievement Award.
