The study funded by the Medical Research Future Fund will attempt to seek greater treatment outcomes for women affected by ovarian cancer. Principal Investigator Associate Professor Rhonda Farrell speaks about the study aims.
The study has received $686,000 from the Australian Government’s Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) and aims to determine the efficacy of of heat during ovarian cancer surgery and chemotherapy.
The trial is set to commence in January 2021. Researchers are seeking 80 participants at five sites across Australia. Patients who are interested are encouraged to speak to their oncologist or general practitioner.
