The Australia New Zealand Gynaecological Oncology Group (ANZGOG) is pleased to welcome internationally renowned Radiation Oncologist Professor Carien Creutzberg as a keynote speaker at the 2024 ANZGOG Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM), taking place in Canberra from 5-7 March 2025.

Professor Creutzberg, a distinguished expert in gynaecological cancers from Leiden University Medical Center, Netherlands, has dedicated more than three decades to advancing clinical research and improving treatment outcomes for patients with gynaecological malignancies. As the chief investigator of the internationally recognised PORTEC trials on endometrial cancer, her groundbreaking research has shaped global treatment guidelines and continues to drive advancements in personalised cancer care.

Her leadership extends beyond research, as a co-founder of the Dutch Gynaecological Oncology Group and the TransPORTEC Consortium, which has significantly enhanced molecular understanding of endometrial cancer. In recognition of her outstanding contributions to the field, Professor Creutzberg was awarded the International Gynecologic Cancer Society (IGCS) Lifetime Achievement Award.

ANZGOG’s ASM brings together national and international experts in gynaecological medicine, radiation and surgical oncology, pathology, basic scientists, translational and quality of life researchers, study coordinators and nurses, as well as our partners in the pharmaceutical industry. The meeting enables attendees to learn about the latest developments in gynaecological cancer and provides education and capacity-building opportunities amongst members and industry personnel, making it an essential event for anyone involved in gynaecological cancers.
